Blue Moon was composed by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart in 1932. It was first recorded by bandleader Ted Flo Rita in 1935. It has since been recorded by many great artists including Mel Torme, Billy Holiday, Elvis Presley and others. In 1961 doo-wop band The Marcels had a #1 hit single with their version of Blue Moon. It is one of several songs that Dylan recorded during the Self Portrait sessions that had previously been recorded by Elvis.

“I’ve loved this track forever, but have to admit – gasp – I wasn’t familiar with Dylan’s version until I started looking into his Self Portrait. I’ve known the Marcells’ hit version and Elvis’s. It was a pleasure to have a go at this tune.” – Anton Barbeau

Anton Barbeau has released more albums in his lifetime than ABBA ever did in 1974. He lives a bit in Berlin by a canal and a lot in Auburn on a farm with Julia. Julia VBH runs the farm with her family, and is boss lady to 3 cats, one dog and an Ant. She keeps a mean bee! Together, Ant and Julia have toured in the States, England and Spain.
